Day 1: Bangkok - Chiang Rai (-)

Fly from Bangkok to Chiang Rai. Arrive, welcome and private transfer to your hotel for the overnight.

Day 2: Chiang Rai - Chiang Khong – Houaxay - Pak Beng (breakfast)

Depart in the early morning from Chiang Rai to the border town of Chiang Khong. Here you cross the border to Laos. Arrival in Ban Huai Xai, we will board our boat and cruise down the Mekong River to Pakbeng. Stops are made en route to observe village life along the river and discover dwellings of ethnic minority groups. Upon arrival in Pakbeng you will have to help yourselves to take your luggage to the hotel.  Overnight in Pak Beng. 

Day 3: Pak Beng - Luang Prabang (breakfast) 

After breakfast, there is a good opportunity to visit the local market where tribes exchange their wares. Afterwards we start the second leg of the cruise to Luang Prabang. Stops will be made on the way such as the remarkable Pak Ou Caves. Arrive Luang Prabang in the afternoon. Private transfer to your centrally located hotel for the overnight.

Day 4:  Luang Prabang (breakfast)

After breakfast, you are free to explore Luang Prabang by yourself or book an optional tour program. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 5:  Luang Prabang  (breakfast) 

After breakfast, a free day or you can book an optional tour program to visit the beautiful Kuangsi waterfalls. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 6:   Luang Prabang - Vang Vieng (breakast)

After breakfast, transfer to the bus station and take a joined bus through the mountains to Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng is a small village settled between a spectacular spread of limestone karsts and is surrounded by lush green paddy fields and dwellings of ethnic minorities. Arrive in Vang Vieng and you can organize your own local transport for around 1 to 2 USD to your hotel which is located near the bus station. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Day 7:   Vang Vieng (breakfast)

After breakfast, you have free time to explore Vang Vieng by yourself. It is not difficult to rent bicycles or a motorbike to explore the beautiful nature. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Day 8:  Vang Vieng - Vientiane (breakfast)  

After breakfast, private transfer to the capital city of Laos. Vientiane is a friendly city resting on the shores of the mighty Mekong River. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your hotel for the overnight.

Day 9:   Vientiane (breakfast) 

After breakfast, you are free to explore the city by yourself or book an optional tour program to see the highlights. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 10: Vientiane - Pakse - Bolaven (breakfast)

After breakfast, private transfer to Vientiane airport for flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, private transfer to your hotel at the Bolaven plateau in the jungle and nature and close to spectacular waterfalls. Overnight Bolaven.

Day 11: Bolaven (breakfast)

After breakfast, you have free time to explore the jungle and nature of Bolaven or book a half-day or full day optional tour program with a guide. Overnight Bolaven.

Day 12: Bolaven - Si Pan Don (breakfast) 

After breakfast private transfer to the 4000 islands in the Mekong River Si Pan Don. Arrive at the main islands of Don Khone and check into your hotel. Overnight Si Pan Don.

Day  13 and 14:  Si Pan Don - Don Khong (breakfast)

After breakfast, you have free time to explore the Si Pan Don area by yourself. It is not difficult to go around with rented bicycles or by motorbike. Overnight Si Pan Don.

Day 15: Si Pan Don - Champasak (breakfast)
