7 day trip including the hihghlights of Bangkok, the river Kwai and Chiang Mai
Day 1: Bangkok (-)
You are welcomed at the airport of Thailand’s capital, Bangkok. Afterwards, a private transfer awaits you to take you to your hotel. In the afternoon you are free at own leisure. Overnight stay in Bangkok.
Day 2: Bangkok (B, L)
After breakfast a city trip takes you to the highlights of Bangkok and a boat trip over the lively river of Bangkok, the Chao Praya river. Lunch in China Town. After lunch you have the afternoon and evening to spend at your own convenience.
Day 3: Bangkok - River Kwai (B, L, D)
After breakfast you leave Bangkok behind and leave for Kanchanaburi. You visit the infamous bridge over the river Kwai and the memorial sight. Overnight stay in the Jungle Rafts hotel.
Day 4: River Kwai - Ayuthaya (B, L)
After breakfast you can enjoy a train ride over the river Kwai. After lunch we visit the summer palace Bang Pa Inn en de famous old capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya. In the late afternoon you board a night train that takes you to Chiang Mai, an exciting experience.
Day 5: Chiang Mai (L)
An early morning arrival in Chiang Mai. Youwill be met at the train station and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the morning you can relax or spend the morning exploring Chiang Mai. In the afternoon we visit Doi Suthep, one of the holiest places in Thailand. Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
Day 6: Chiang Mai (B, L)
After breakfast you enjoy a day of touring the surroundings of Chiang Mai with a visit to an elephant camp and bamboo rafting.
Day 7: Chiang Mai - Bangkok (B)
After breakfast you are transferred to the airport of Chiang Mai for your next destination.
