Depart from hotel to visit the Golden Triangle where the Ruak river empties into the Mekong river thus bringing together the boundaries of Thailand, Burma and Laos. An exciting long-tail boat ride along the Mekong gives spectacular views of the Laotian countryside. Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch drive to visit to Mae Chan district and continue uphill along narrow mountain roads to visit simple Akha and Yao hill tribe villages. The trip also visit the “long neck” tribe and it was interesting to see their culture and get a chance to see this tribe who have come from Burma. Return back to hotel en route short stop to visit local market.
