Tuesday, 1 November 2011 Due to the rising water level of the Chao Phraya River, Asian Oasis needs to stop operating the 2 day/ 1n night Mekhala Cruise from today until November 6, 2011.

Starting from November 7, they have a new itinerary of the Mekhala Cruise:
* Day 1:
14.00 Check In at Yannawa pier
14.30 Depart from the pier
15.00 Visit Kallayanamit temple. It is the only temple in Thailand that features the sitting Buddha statue (Palelai posture), not the usual Subduing Mara posture, as the main statue of the temple. Walk along the riverbank to visit the Chinese shrine of Guanin, a Chinese Goddess (Bodhisattava) worshiped by Chinese Budddhists as a Goddess of Mercy. Then visit the Catholic church of Santa Cruz. Originally built in 1700s, the church was rebuilt for the third time in 1900s by Italian architects, feature a cream-toned structure with reddish dome and beautiful belfry stucco and 14 sculptures depicting scenes from Jesus's life.
16.00 Continue cruising to the Golden Teak Museum
16.30 Visit Devaraj Kunchon Temple, a beautiful royal temple built since the 14th century, and the wax museum, exhibiting wax statues of highly respected monks in Thailand.
17.30 Return to the boat, heading north to Nontaburi.
18.30 While cruising, enjoy a candle lit dinner and watch impressive views of Bangkok's skyline.
20.00 Mooring and overnight at Wat Klang Dao Kanong temple pier.

08.00 Breakfast on board
09.00 Visit the flower market
10.30 Drop off at Yannawa Pier
