This is a condensed and easy trekking trip to the ethnic minority region of Sa Pa Hill station. It takes us to different villages of the local hill tribes where we can learn about the ethnic minority’s way of live as well as to give us opportunity to experience the region’s most beautiful forest, terraced rice paddies and above all, to meet these friendly people.
Day 1: Ha Noi
On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, we will be met and transferred to our hotel. After a welcome drink and tour briefing, we enjoy a performance of Viet Nam’s unique traditional Water Puppetry.
Day 2: Ha Noi - Lao CaiA visit to
President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and
humble house on stilts,
the One Pillar Pagoda and
Temple of Literature is followed by tour of
the Museum of Ethnology,
Hoa Lo Prison Museum. After enjoying the tranquillity of
Hoan Kiem Lake, we take an overnight train to
Lao Cai.
Day 3: Lao Cai - Sa Pa
Arrive in Lao Cai at about 06:30am, we are transferred up to French former hill station, Sa Pa. Check in, breakfast and discover this bustling market town at our own pace. In the afternoon, we walk to Cat Cat village and enjoy the hospitality of its friendly locals.
Day 4: Sa Pa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta VanIn the morning, we stroll down up to
the Muong Hoa River and from here, a light trek takas us to
the Black Hmong village Lao Chai. Continuin on, we walk to
Ta Vin village inhabited by
the Zay people. Our overnight stay will be at a villager’s house in
Ta Van village.
Day 5: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Seo Trung HoToday we set out to
the Red Dao people village at
Giang Ta Chai and chance to see a wonderful waterfall, follow by a further trek to
Seo Trung Ho village, where we stay overnight and learn about the se hill tribe’s way of living.
Day 6: Seo Trung Ho - Nam Toong- Thanh PhuRise up in early morning, we trek through terraced rice fields, cross the
Muong Hoa River to arrive at the
Tay minority village in
Thanh Phu. There is a time for us to wander amongst the local family houses before spending the night in a traditional house.
Day 7: Thanh Phu - Nam Sai - Nam Ken - Ban HoWe hike to
Nam Sai Village inhabited by the Tay minority people, followed by trekking up to the
Red Zao Village of
Xa Pho where people are living their life traditionally as they have done for hunderd s of years before. Tonight we will stay in
Ban Ho Village and enjoy more hill tribe hospitality.
Day 8: Ban Ho - Sa Pa - Lao CaiOur last trek will be made to
Ban Den, from where we board our vehicle and drive to
Sa Pa for refreshment. The remaider of the time is spent exploring the colorful market filled with different minority groups before driving to
Lao Cai for an overnight train to
Ha Noi.Day 9: Arrival Ha NoiThe train arrive
Ha Noi station in early morning and we are transferred to our hotel for early check-in and a relaxation. This whole day is for us explore Ha Noi’s shopping centers, enjoying its delightful café by the tranquil
Hoan Kiem Lake or explore
the Old Quarter at our own pace.
Day 10: Departure Ha NoiFree at leisure until transferring to the airport for our ongoing flight.
