From 14 December 2011 The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek Fair is organized to celebrate the three auspicious occasions: King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 84th birthday anniversary in 2011, Queen Sirikit’s 80th birthday anniversary and the Crown Prince Maha Vaijralongkorn’s 60th birthday anniversary in 2012.

There will be grand-scale celebrations and the activities are divided into three parts, which are: Exhibitions about agriculture and the royal agricultural projects, national and international agricultural conferences, and the plant contests. Highlights of the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek Fair include the Giant Flora Wheel, Imagination Light Gardens and Kids’ Eco Park.
Chiang Mai is a northern province surrounded by a beautiful landscape nestling amidst the evergreen mountains and so the perfect place to organize The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek. The park has thousand of species of tropical plants and flowers. More than 30 countries from all over the world will demonstrate their horticultural excellence at the expo. So if you are fond of agriculture, don’t miss this colorful event!

Location: The Royal Park Ratchaphruek, Mae Hia District in the provincial town of Chiang Mai. (8 km from the airport)
Tickets: These can be bought at the expo, 200 Baht (around €5) for adults and 100 Baht (around €2,50) for children.
