HO CHI MINH CITY - MEKONG DELTA - BUON ME THUOT - DA LAT - PHAN THIET
Explore the fertile and lush flood plains of the Mekong Delta by bicycle and witness the wonders of the Mekong Delta at a pace ideal for soaking up its many splendours. En route we visit a Cao Dai temple, an area populated by the Khmer people, delightful fruit orchards and the complex maze of waterways that interlace the scenic landscape of the delta.
DAY 1 ARRIVE HO CHI MINH CITY
On arrival at Tan Son Nhat Bai Airport, we will be met and transferred to our hotel. After a welcome drink and tour briefing, we are free to expore the city’s burst at our own pace.
DAY 2 HO CHI MINH CITY - VINH LONG
We cycle west and stop at a
Cao Dai temple, t
he world’s unique religion and tour its colourful decoration inside. We then continue through a picturesque part of the delta to
Vinh Long, known as
one of the most scenic provinces in the heart of the region.DAY 3 VINH LONG - CAN THO
We spend this morning cycling the
An Binh Island, where the
Co Chien River from the top of town accesses a patch of the delta’s most breathtaking scenery. We also see one of the island’s many beautiful bonsai gardens before pedalling on to
Can Tho.
DAY 4 CAN THO - SOC TRANG - TRA VINH
Today we cycle deeply to
Mekong Delta and visit
Soc Trang, the capital of the provice is inhabited by about 28% of
Khmer people who have built some very impressive temples in the area including the Kh’leng and
Bat Pagodas. We then head up to Tra Vinh for an overnight stay.
DAY 5 TRA VINH - HO CHI MINH CITY
Before returing to
Ho Chi Minh City, we enjoy
Tra Vinh’s classic delta scenery, vivid green rice paddies, backed by coconut and water palms and its broad, tree-lined streets and colonial architectures Inhabited by about 300,000 ethnic Khmer and therefore, the culture is alive in this part of
Viet Nam.DAY 6 HO CHI MINH CITY - BUON ME THUOT
We take a morning flight to
Buon Me Thuot and
cycle through
the highlands villages, its beautiful nature and see one of the region’s most
impressive waterfalls, the
Dray Sap. There is also a chace to experience an elephant ride across
the Lak Lake before returinin to our hotel for refreshment.
DAY 7 BUON ME THUOT - DA LAT
Leaving the central highland’s capital, we cycly to
Da Lat, renowned for its cool climate, mountain scenery, streams, lakes, waterfalls, evergreen forests and beautiful flower gardens. The city’s market rich with region’s produce and vegetable also worths a visit.
DAY 8 DA LAT - PHAN THIET
A combination of biking and traveling by bus will take us to
Phan Thiet, one of
Viet Nam’s prime beach side town, where the beautiful sand dunes are favourite subjects for many photographers. Upon arriving the town, we are free to enjoy swimming and relaxing on this white sandy beach with crystal blue water.
DAY 9 PHAN THIET
The morning is spent visiting the region’s major places of interest by bike including the spactacular sand dunes in
Mui Ne, the
Po Shanu Cham Tower date from the 18th century, occupies a hill with sweeping views of
Phan Thiet. The remaider of the day is free to enjoy our resort facilities and swimming.
DAY 10 PHAN THIET - HO CHI MINH CITY
Today we are totally free at our leisure to enjoy this beautiful beach or cycling to the local market and learn more about the daily life of the locals. After lunch time, we travel by bus to
Ho Chi Minh City and experience the bursting atmosphere of this commercial city’s center.
DAY 11 DEPART HO CHI MINH CITY
We are free at leisure until transferring to the airport for departure flight.
